What LDAPtIT^® does

All too often, incompatible query language, unsuitable directory structure and different schema definitions get in the way of interoperability between LDAP client and server applications. When these problems occur, the LDAP client and server applications may not offer good diagnostic tools.

Overly general queries may result in excessively high volumes of data in responses and performance may suffer.

Unexpected query status or result codes may confuse the LDAP client and cause an unnecessary query failure.

LDAPtIT^® solves these problems by providing:

Translation of LDAP queries and responses between MIMEsweeper for SMTP or MIMEsweeper for Web clients and a variety of industry standard LDAP directory servers.
Detailed LDAP Logging so you can see what is really causing the incompatibility and fix it.
An LDAP Cache to buffer responses from multiple directory server for high-speed supply to the MIMEsweeper for SMTP or MIMEsweeper for Web client.

You want to use MIMEsweeper for SMTP or MIMEsweeper for Web version 4 with Novell's NDS or the Lotus Domino LDAP server. LDAPtIT^® has a flexible translation language that allows the definition of the mapping between each query and response. It has common mappings predefined ready for use.

LDAPtIT^® is a secure LDAP proxy supporting multi port operation, port mapping and IP address dedication. It is installed on the MIMEsweeper for SMTP or MIMEsweeper for Web system.

LDAPtIT's logging can record the full detail of the LDAP conversation between client and server.

LDAPtIT^® caches directory inquiries and can periodically refresh its cache independently of MIMEsweeper for SMTP or MIMEsweeper for Web.
